Characteristics of Computer: Speed, Accuracy, Storage, Diligence, Versatility, Automatic, No I.Q, No Feelings. 

Evolution of Computer: Abacus, Napier's Bone, Slide Rule, Pascal's Machine, Leibnitz’s Calculating Machine, Charles Babbage, Difference Engine, Analytical Engine, SOME WELL-KNOWN EARLY COMPUTER.

Generations of Computer:

First Generation (1940 to 1956): Using Vacuum Tubes Hardware Technology.

Second Generation (1956 to 1963): Using Transistors Hardware Technology. 

Third Generation (1964 to 1971): Using Integrated Circuits Hardware Technology.

Fourth Generation (1971 to present): Using Microprocessors Hardware Technology.
